DRIFTING IN... HOW'S IT GOSEN?

How’s it Gosen? our tropical Gose is Drifting back into bottle shops nationally! Just in time for the warmer weather, this beer is a fruity, salty, sour ale that’s refreshing, zingy and full of sunshine.

It’s like riding a unicycle through a mango plantation and drinking passionfruit iced tea from your camelback whilst dodging the salty sweat pouring from your brow and getting hit in the face with a pavlova!

Like most our Drifter Series, How’s it Gosen? originally made its debut in the Braddon BrewPub where it quickly became a Summer favourite amongst locals. In 2019, we canned it for the first time, and it drifted nationally across Australia. This salty-sour made with real mango and passionfruit stood out as refreshing zingy, and quickly became a cult favourite. As it drifted out, many people were left wanting more…

How’s it Gosen? returns for Summer 2023. This tropical gose comes in at 4.0% with in IBU of 17, showcasing real mango and passionfruit with the addition of Amarillo hops.

Traditionally, the salty profile of a gose came from the mineral-rich river Gose in eastern Germany from the 15th Century. The subtle sourness coming from the yeast and lactobacillus (the same culture used in yoghurt). Gose is traditionally brewed with coriander, but in keeping with BentSpoke tradition, brewers and co-owners Tracy Margrain and Richard Watkins have bent the rules of beer by adding fresh mango and passionfruit into the mix.

Grab it before it’s Gosen! Available from the BentSpoke website and drifting in bottle shops nationally in the coming weeks!
