BentSpoke BREWS RESILIENCE BEER FOR BUSHFIRE RELIEF
Resilience, Australia's bushfire relief beer is now on tap at the Braddon brewpub.
As part of the local and international beer community’s ongoing support for bushfire relief efforts in Australia, brewers the world over have joined forces in a fundraising brew. Proceeds will be donated to various relief efforts. Here at BentSpoke, we will be donating all our profits fro this beer to the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal. FRRR prioritises grants to communities of fewer than 15,000 people, and strongly believes that local people are best-placed to know what is going to work best in their communities. They focus on helping communities address local opportunities and challenges.
Resilience Beer is a project that arose in the wake of unprecedented bushfires in Australia during late 2019 and early 2020. It came from a desire in the local beer industry to find ways to support those impacted by and fighting the fires both now and in the future. Over 200 brewers globally pledged to brew a Resilience beer, following a single recipe.
It came from a desire in the local beer industry to find ways to support those impacted by and fighting the fires, both now and in the future.
The aim is to help impacted communities transition from crisis to healing through regeneration and rehabilitation projects. Brewers and the industry around them play a strong role in their local communities, as evidenced by the hundreds of fundraisers and other events launched throughout the local beer world since the fires first broke out last year.
The Resilience recipe for a 5% Pale Ale was developed by a working party of brewers to create a beer with a broad appeal for generous, kind-hearted beer lovers right across the spectrum, inclusive of folks who aren't traditionally craft beer drinkers, yet wish to support this fantastic cause with a delicious beer or two.
